Patsy Wiles Howard

Mrs. Patsy Anne Wiles Howard, age 91 of Hays, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, at her home. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 25, 2025, at Rock Creek Church of Christ with Brother Randy Jarvis officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

She was born on August 14, 1934, in Wilkes County to James Burette and Selma Campbell Wiles. Patsy was a member of Rock Creek Church of Christ. 

Pat loved being around her family and cooking.  She loved her church family and her Lord and Savior.  Pat was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she was a devoted wife, mother, Nannie, Big Nannie and aunt. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Raymond Howard, sister, Frances Blevins and brother, Harold Wiles. 

She is survived by daughter, Scarlett Howard Wiles (Danny) and son, Michael Warren Howard (Pam) both of Hays; four grandchildren, Stephanie Wiles Lester (Loury), Daniel Morris Wiles (Rachel), Eric Grant Wiles (Amanda), Erica Howard Scearce (Zachary); eight great grandchildren, Lawson Lester, Selma Lester, Bradley Wiles, Katie Beth Wiles, Wrennlee Wiles, Westlynn Wiles, Tatum Scearce, Cadence Scearce; sister, Aundra Absher of North Wilkesboro and many special nieces and nephews. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017. 

Pallbearers will be Daniel Wiles, Eric Wiles, Loury Lester, Tatum Scearce, Bradley Wiles, Zach Scearce, and Lawson Lester.
