Patricia Lyons Waddell

Mrs. Patricia Ann Lyons Waddell, age 78, of Roaring River passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 at her home. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 26, 2025, at White Plains Baptist Church with Rev. William Souther, Rev. William Brown and Rev. Terry Waddell officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Patricia was born April 12, 1947, in Wilkes County to Mary Lyons Benge.  She was a faithful Christian and a member of White Plains Baptist Church.  Patricia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, dedicated to her family and will forever be missed. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, her husband; Billy Alton Waddell, Sr., a granddaughter; Kimberly Shew and a brother; David Lyons. 

She is survived by three sons; Bill (Glenda) Waddell, Terry Waddell both of Traphill, Shane (Sandi) Waddell of Elkin, grandchildren; Rachael Perry, Chris Waddell, Leah Waddell, J.R. Nance, Brooke Waddell, great grandchildren; Braxton Waddell, Kaison Perry, Haiden Waddell, Parker Waddell, Jameson Shew, Taylor Nance, Abby Renegar, Gage Renegar, a sister; Kay (Brady) Billings of Traphill and two brothers; Tony (Ann) Benge of Thurmond, Tim (Denise) Benge of Roaring River.
