Pansy (Bare) Roten

Mrs. Pansy Bare Roten, age 89 of Millers Creek, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Glendale Springs with Rev. Frank Woods and Rev. Bennie Roten officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Family will receive friends Saturday November 27, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

Pansy was born February 1, 1932 in Wilkes County to Enos and Lillie Sheets Bare.  She was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church for over fifty years where she sang in the choir and performed special songs.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Carl Roten.

She is survived by two sons; Gary L. Roten and wife Regina, Donnie S. Roten both of Millers Creek, Three grandchildren: Jennifer E. Roten, Travis A. Bare and wife LeeAnn, Nathan R. Bare and wife Traci, three great-grandchildren; Haley Bare, Lance Bare and Reese Bare.

Pall Bearers: Donald Miller, Elton Black, Hobart Hart, James Eller, Rick Jennings, Nathan Bare, Lance Bare and Brad Vidrine.
