Norman Smith Sutton

Mr. Norman Smith Sutton, age 89 of Roaring River passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Union Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 unil 10:45 AM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Norman was born September 1, 1932 in Alleghany County to Wallace and Dora Dixon Sutton.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Rosalee Lane Sutton, a sister; Claudene Zachary and a brother-in-law; Tom Zachary.   

He is survived by two bonus daughters; Patricia Lane Smith of North Wilkesboro, Carolyn Lane Blackburn and husband; Michael of North Wilkesboro, a bonus son; Jerry J. Lane and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
