Norene (Seatz) McGuire

Mrs. Norene Seatz McGuire, age 88, of North Wilkesboro passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Scenic Memorial Gardens with Pastor Brian Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:30 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral home prior to the graveside service.

Norene was born on September 22, 1937, in Ashe County to Earnest and Minnie Stevens Seatz. She was a member of Oakwoods Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Brantley McGuire; two brothers, Lewis Seatz and Edward Seatz.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Johnson (Phillip) of Wilkesboro, Joan Glisson (Vince) of Gainesville, FL; son, John McGuire (Melissa) of North Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Sarah Barnett, Rachel Wiles, Ashley Rac, Hannah Goodson, Erin Dinkle; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Parsons of Monroe, Lola Churchwell of Edenton, GA; brothers, John Seatz of Creston, Bobby Seatz (Linda) of Todd, and Tommy Seatz (Sue) of Wisconsin.
