Nina Mae Royal, (formerly Dunn, born Nichols) 81, of Supply, NC died February 4th, 2024 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Bolivia.
On Sunday, February 11th, 2024 a visitation with the family will be held from 2:00-3:00PM, followed by a celebration of life at 3:00PM, both at Reins Sturdivant Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Stone officiating. Burial will be held privately.
Mrs. Royal was born February 4th, 1943 to Richard and Ora Belle Shumate Nichols. Nina worked many years in the grocery store business, ultimately retiring from Lowes Foods. Nina had two great loves: the love of flowers of any kind and the love of her dogs. Coffee was a requirement! Rook was her game of choice.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Brian and Gary Dunn, her parents, three brothers, Floyd, Arlie, and Archie Nichols, and one sister, Peggy Sheets.
Nina is survived by her beloved husband, Jack Royal, one daughter, Lisa Dunn of Harmony, two step daughters, Teresa McCray and Tammy Royal of Supply, five grandchildren, Christopher Stewart of Harmony, MacKenzie Church of Statesville, Philip McCray of Supply, Ella Dunn of Yadkinville, and Katie Albertelli of Kernersville, three great-grandchildren, Dawson and Rhett Stewart of Harmony and Lilianna Albertelli of Kernersville, a sister, Linda Handy of McGrady, two brothers, Roy Nichols of North Wilkesboro and Henry Nichols of Wilkesboro, and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted on memorials made to Jackie Stone Ministries 725 Welcome Home Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
