Mr. Nathan James Greene, age 42 of McGrady entered his eternal home on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist - Wilkes Medical Center.

On Thursday night, Nathan breathed his last here and opened his eyes in the presence of His Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, fully healed to spend eternity with the one he testified of to all who knew him.

Nathan will be remembered for his strong faith, solid testimony and witness for Christ. His strength to persevere, his resilience, and competitive deer hunting spirit with Jeremiah will live on in the hearts of those left to cherish his memory.
The bond between he & Amanda is second to none and will remain a comforting reminder of his love.

His love of all things Atlanta Braves, Carolina Tarheels & San Francisco 49ers will forever be in our hearts.

Nathan was born March 17, 1982, in Wilkes County to John & Naomi Smith Greene. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents J.W. & Dorothy Smith and his paternal grandfather John Greene Sr.

Nathan is survived by his parents, John and Naomi Greene of the home, one sister Amanda Greene of McGrady, one brother Jeremiah Greene and sister in love Beth of Roaring River, two nieces, Isabella & Mickela Greene whom he adored and his paternal grandmother, Barbara Church Greene.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. David Key and Rev. Stephen Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
