Mrs. Nancy Richardson Church, age 79, of Wilkesboro passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Tharpe officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:45 AM until 12:45 PM prior to the service at the church.

Nancy was born on February 17, 1946, in Wilkes County to Thomas Brack and Beatrice Woods Richardson. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Nancy retired from Wilkes Community College. She was an avid sports fan, and she loved all things, Carolina Tarheels. Nancy especially loved to watch her grandchildren participate in sports.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister; Linda Parker, two brothers; Brack Richardson, Jr. and Jim Richardson.

She is survived by her husband; Don Edward Church, two sons; Chris Cardwell (Heather) of Wilkesboro, Matt Cardwell, of Hudson, eight grandchildren; Clint Cardwell of Ferguson, Jack Cardwell, of Ferguson, Chase Cardwell of Hudson, Tyler Stewart (Brooke) of Lenoir, Okey W. Shamblin III, (Alexa) of Canada, Quinton Shamblin (Maria) of Winston-Salem, Jonathan Cumblidge 0f Wilkesboro, Isabella Wyatt of Wilkesboro, four great-grandchildren; Sadie Jo Stewart of Lenoir, Tucker Stewart of Lenoir, Charlotte Shamblin of Canada, and Caspian Shamblin of Winston-Salem.
