Nancy Coleman Chambers

Mrs. Nancy Coleman Chambers, age 89 of North Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at her home. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Shady Grove Baptist Church in the Windy Gap Community with Rev. Richard Odem officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church. 

Nancy was born July 6, 1933 in Wilkes County to Avery Lee and Lillie Clementine Gregory Coleman. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and she loved babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Ernest Lee Chambers and a sister; Irene Chambers. 

She is survived by a daughter; Vickie Reid of North Wilkesboro, three grandchildren; Keary (Donald) Reid of Charlotte, Travis (Emily) Reid of Hamptonville, Casey (Bethany) Reid of North Wilkesboro, four great grandchildren; Ella Reid, Jackson Reid, Allie Reid, Wyatt Reid and a sister; Beatrice Chambers of North Wilkesboro.
