Mozelle Cleary Sparks

Mrs. Mozelle Cleary Sparks, age 85 of Statesville, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Mike Duncan officiating.  Burial will be in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  There will be a public viewing from 8:00 AM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Sparks was born January 11, 1936 in Wilkes County to John and Jannie Cleary.   

In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband; Crom Sparks, three sisters; Mabel Brooks, Verna Mayberry, and Thelma Crabb. 

She is survived by two sons; Stephen Sparks, and wife Pam of Statesville, Darrell Sparks, and wife Susan of Traphill, a daughter; Rita Walker, and husband Robert of Statesville, five grandchildren; Jonathan Sparks, and wife Summer, Jamie Walker, and wife Lindsay, Luke Sparks, Amy Sparks Essic, and husband Andrew, and Lewis Walker, three great grandchildren; Ella Sparks, Gavin Sparks, and Gemma Walker, one sister; Estelle Walker, and two brothers; John T. Cleary, and Clyde Cleary.
