Mr. Mills Ardle Bullis, age 74 of Boomer, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Boomer Advent Christian Church with Pastor David Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the service.

Mr. Bullis was born October 19, 1950, in Wilkes County to Otto and Doris Price Bullis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Pearson Bullis.

Mills loved to hunt and fish.  He loved to have family reunions, cookouts, and enjoy life.  He loved his family and friends the most.  He also loved to bake cakes and fix banana pudding for people in the neighborhood.  Mills Bullis' cakes were so delicious.  His best friend was Max the bulldog.  If you knew Mills Bullis you knew not to take him seriously when he was joking.  Mills was strong, blunt, and kind hearted.  Most of all he was, and always will be the best Daddy ever.  He loved his daughter so much that words can't describe it.  Mills left his stamp on this Earth.

He is survived by his daughter, Emily Dawn Bullis Sheets (Donnie Call) of Hays; a brother, Gwyn Arlie Bullis (Vickie) of Boomer; nephews, Jerome Bullis and his daughter Brooke Staley,  Jason Bullis and Jason’s children and grandchildren; Evan Bullis, Anna Griffin (Cody), Miayah, Amari, Freya and Weston.   

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Boomer Advent Christian Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 334, Boomer NC 28606.
