Obituary

Mr. Michael Jay Spanolia, age 66 of Browns Summit, NC passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 in Ferguson. 

Michael was born November 5, 1955 in Greensboro to Juan Spanolia and Doris Kuepferle Spanolia. 

Mike was a wonderful husband, uncle, brother-in-law, son-in-law and was loved by many many friends.  He was a very skilled carpenter for 35 years and worked as a sub-contractor for New Age Builders prior to retiring on December 22, 2021.  He loved his mule family and loved spending time riding and camping with his wife and fur babies.  Mike was  devoted to his wife; Diane, and also his animals.   He was a great husband for 38 years.  He always made sure that all of their needs were taken care of.  He will be sorely missed by many friends and family.  If you were Mike’s friend you had a special place in his heart. 

He was preceded in death by his mother; Doris Kuepferle Vaden. 

He is survived by his wife; Diane Swanson Spanolia of the home, his beloved mules; Betty, Ginger, Sonny and Cher and fur babies; Chester, Louise and Ninà, his father; Juan Spanolia of Baltimore, MD, a brother; Charles Edwin Spanolia of Greensboro.
