Mary Jane Badgett Alexander

Mrs. Mary Jane Badgett Alexander, age 86 of North Wilkesboro passed away peacefully Thursday, October 29, 2020. 

A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Middle Cross Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Jason Whitley and Brother Jason Seth Whitley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the graveside. 

Mrs. Alexander was born March 14, 1934 in Wilkes County to Charlie and Cora Susie Copeland Badgett.  Mary Jane and her husband operated Alexander’s Grocery for many years and she was a member of Middle Cross Missionary Baptist Church.  Mary Jane enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She found peace and solitude working in her yard and flowers.  Traveling and enjoying vacation time with her family was a special time for her. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Earl Alexander, a daughter; Beth Alexander, a son: John Alexander and a granddaughter; Jessica LeAnne Alexander and a brother; Jack Badgett. 

She is survived by a daughter; Ann Adams and Dwight Hinson of Concord, two sons; Jesse Alexander of North Wilkesboro and Tim Alexander of Charlotte, one grandchild; David Adams and wife Jennifer of Millers Creek, three great grandchildren; Kinley Adams, Owen Felts and Maci Adams.
