She was born June 13, 1937, in the Mount Pleasant community of Wilkes County, to Edmond Columbus and Martha McNeill Dyer Foster.

Mrs. Triplett was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters; Colleen Huffman, Ella Mae Walsh, Shirley Crawford, Lela Barnes, Bernice Eller, Verna Laws, Faye Foster and seven brothers; Tommy, Hobert, Alvie, Max, and Chalmer Foster, and Charlie and Warren Dyer.

Mrs. Triplett is survived by her husband of 70 years, Eugene Triplett, three sons; Randy Eugene Triplett and wife Sandra, Neil Scott Triplett and wife Carolyn, and Tracy Jonathan Triplett and wife Julie all of Wilkesboro.  In addition, she is survived by five grandsons; Mark R. She was a devoted servant of the Lord and a lifelong member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Her commitment to her faith was reflected in her many roles within the church, including Sunday School teacher, hostess, choir member, and more. Her community knew her for her generous spirit and culinary talents, as she often shared her delicious pound cakes, pies, meatloaf, and casseroles with family, neighbors, and friends in times of need. She was an encourager who always had a kind word for everyone.  A dedicated prayer warrior, she found solace and strength in the scriptures, and her love for her church and its congregation was unwavering. Her love of children was evident in her 20 years of service as a teacher’s assistant at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School.

As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved her family unconditionally and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel cherished and special. Her life was a testament to the power of love and selflessness, as she dedicated herself to the care and well-being of her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund, 239 Champion/Mt. Pleasant Rd, Wilkesboro, NC 28697 or Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017.
