Mary Alexander Weatherman

Mrs. Mary Edith Alexander Weatherman, age 93 of North Wilkesboro passed away Monday, May 25, 2020 at her home. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 29, 2020 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Joel Blevins officiating.  Entombment will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Weatherman was born December 14, 1926 in Wilkes County to Gideon McCager and Nora Eugenia Bauguess Alexander.  She was a homemaker and a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. 

Mary was a very sweet Christian woman and was well loved by all who knew her.  She was a dedicated wife for 69 years, a loving mother, grandmother and sister.  Mary loved gardening, canning and cooking for her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Telford Gray Weatherman, five brothers; Clayton Alexander, Stuart Alexander, Cline Alexander, Jay Alexander and Phillip Alexander and three sisters; Sybil Johnson, Cynthia Elmore and Barbara Key. 

She is survived by three sons; Randall Weatherman of North Wilkesboro, Rickey Weatherman and wife Susan of Wilkesboro and Brian Weatherman and wife Sharon of Millers Creek, two grandchildren; Alex B. Weatherman of North Wilkesboro, Matthew  Weatherman and wife Heather of Concord, two great grandchildren; Jasmine Weatherman and Chase Weatherman and one sister; Doris Tharpe of Winston-Salem. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 183 Rock Quarry Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
