Mary Linda Billings

Mrs. Mary Linda Orsborne Billings, age 78 of North Wilkesboro passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 18, 2020 at Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery in the Lomax community with Pastor Irvin Blackburn and Rev. Kenneth Jordan officiating.   Mrs. Billings will lie in state at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Monday from 8:00 AM until 12:00PM.   Burial will be in Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mary was born May 2, 1942 Forsyth County, to T.C. and Florence Stimpson Orsborne.  She was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church.  She loved to fish, played the piano beautifully, worked at Austin meal site as site manager for a number of years, and also volunteered with BROC.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, William Donald Billings of the home; a daughter, Vera Stamper and husband, Dean of North Wilkesboro; a granddaughter, Chrissy Billings and husband, Jeffery; a great grandson, Tyler Billings, and a brother, Clayborne Orsborne and wife Cindy of Fredericksburg, VA.
