Mary Blackburn Ledford

Mrs. Mary Blackburn Ledford, age 78 of Wilkesboro passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, at her home. 

Private services will be held. 

Mary was born May 28, 1946, in Wilkes County to Olin Blackburn and Myrtle Johnson Blackburn. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters; Pauline Childress and husband Luke, Pansy Barrett, Faye Carvar and husband Jay, Dovie Brewer and husband Jerry, five brothers; Granville Porter, Jessie Porter and wife Clarabell, Jimmy Blackburn and wife Nancy, Glenn Blackburn and James Blackburn. 

She is survived by her husband; Samuel J. Ledford of the home, two daughters; Donna Marie Thomas of Roaring River, Melissa A. Thomas and husband Chad of Hays, a son; Scott Allen Thomas and wife Pam of Boomer, grandchildren; Scottie Thomas, Olin Thomas, William Thomas, Damien Staton, Justin Parks, Tristan Wyatt, great-grandchildren; Lexie Thomas, Haiden Thomas, Leeanna Thomas, Avacyn Thomas, Ava Thomas, Samara Staton, Clay Thomas, RJ Thomas, Abby Thomas and two sisters-in-law; Betty Blackburn of Ronda and Frances Blackburn of Moravian Falls.
