Martha Hubbard Obituary

Mrs. Martha Lee Cox Hubbard, age 87 of Moravian Falls passed away Sunday, January 23, 2023 at her home. 

No services are scheduled at this time. 

Martha was born December 6, 1935 in Lynchburg, VA to Julian Waulker and Irene Ottinger Cox.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Fredrick Cecil Hubbard, Jr. a daughter; Catherine W. Hubbard and a brother; Freddie Cox. 

She is survived by two daughters; Ann H. Carter of Moravian Falls, Kim Oglesby of Mt. Pleasant, SC, three sons; Rick Hubbard of Wilkesboro, Dick Hubbard and Curtis Rogers of Hopkins, SC, Mike Hubbard of Apex, NC, four nieces; Lane Hubbard of  Wilkesboro, Debbie and Chip Lovell of Raleigh, NC, Diane and Terry Poling of Clemmons, NC, Bonnie Derr of West Jefferson, NC, nine grandchildren; Scott Hubbard, Todd and Beth Hubbard, Jeff Hubbard, Julia and Ron Dunbar, James and Sonja Carter, Brianna and Travis Tyson, Alonzo P. Chisolm, Seyward and Asa Davis, Kaiden O’Neill, twelve great grandchildren; Joel Hubbard, Jackson Hubbard, Katie Hubbard, Will Hubbard, Bobby Hubbard, Luke Dunbar, Rebekah Dunbar, Gray Dunbar, Avalee Tyson, Allman Tyson, Anna Carter, Kaia Carter, sister-in-law; Elaine Cox of Maryland, daughter-in-law; Lorraine Hubbard Little of Wilkesboro and son-in-law; Charles O’Neill of Zebulon, GA.
