Martha Parsons Anderson

Mrs. Martha Parsons Anderson, age 77, of Wilkesboro went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, August 4, 2025.   

Martha was born March 27, 1948, in Wilkes County to Charlie and Hazel Phillips Parsons.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist church and attended Little Elkin Baptist Church in Ronda where her husband was minister for many years. 

She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and our best friend.  Martha leaves behind countless memories of love and laughter.  Her presence brought joy and light into our lives, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. She was a true woman of faith that lived and instilled the values and virtues of empathy, compassion, integrity, responsibility, diligence, appreciation and perseverance.  Her quick wit and kind heart will be deeply missed.    

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Rev. Gwyn Wilson Anderson, a sister; Mary Royal and two brothers; Alvin Parsons and Clayton Parsons.  

She is survived by a son; Jeff Anderson of Richmond, VA, three sisters; Margaret Blackburn of North Wilkesboro, Madelene Johnson (Gary) of Wilkesboro and Mildred Brooks of Miller Creek. 

Private graveside services will be held at Scenic Memorial Gardens.
