Mariah Martin

Ms. Mariah Sinead Martin, age 29 of North Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Scenic Memorial Gardens with Rev. Casey Walker and Rev. Richard Watts officiating.  The public may view from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Mariah was born on December 22, 1991 in Iredell County to Reginal and Jematta Martin. She was a member of Rickard’s Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.  She was a housekeeper manager at Days Inn in Wilkesboro. 

Mariah was preceded in death by her grandmother, Louella Barber Martin and grandfather, Ralph Martin, Sr.

She is survived by her children, Maliyah Horton and Kwaisi “Zayne” Barnes, her parents, Reginal and Jematta Martin of North Wilkesboro, one sister, Anisa Nelson and husband Forest (Antonio) of North Wilkesboro; one neice, Brooklyn Nelson and one nephew, Khealan Nelson; grandparents, Doris Roberts of Wilkesboro and Harry and Lisa Cockerham, Sr. of Winston Salem; and a host of uncles, great uncles, aunts, great aunts and cousins.
