Mrs. Margie Huffman Michael, age 86, of Purlear passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at SECU Hospice Home of Brunswick.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Boiling Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Lance Wilson officiating. The casket will be placed in the church at 1:30 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Margie was born on October 30, 1939, in Wilkes County to Hamp and Amy Cardwell Huffman. She was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Glen Michael, sons, Barry Michael and Steve Michael, and her brother, Michael Huffman.

She is survived by a son, Brian Michael of Oak Island; granddaughter, Kimberly Vargo (Nick) of Lewisville; great-grandchildren, Adilyn Vargo, Raelyn Vargo; sisters, Brenda Nichols of Lewisville, Grace Huffman of Wilkesboro; brother, Rodney Huffman (Sandra) of Purlear and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
