Mrs. Margie Hackett Howell, age 92 of Wilkesboro passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Rickards Chapel AME Zion Church with Rev. Richard Watts and Rev. Casey Walker officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Margie was born July 10, 1933, in Wilkes County to Boyd Lee and Mary Scott Hackett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Otis Reuben Howell, two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by four daughters; Charlotte Corpening Gibbs (Chris), Diane Corpening Pugh (Johnny), Kathy Elaine Harris and Susan Elizabeth Faulkner all of Wilkesboro, grandchildren; Nakisha Carver, Shana Carver, Christopher Harris (Amber), Louis Carver, Natalie Harris, Derick Faulkner (Courtney), Kenya Faulkner, Jade Caldwell (Teres), Matthew Harris, great grandchildren; Malik, Keybreonna, Sophia, Niya, Ayden, Jacob, Emery, Nautica, Jaden, Nalaini, Cannon, Mason and two sisters; Mary Jeanette Dulin of Wilkesboro and Tina Horton of Lenoir.
