Mae (McGee) Shatley

Mrs. Mae McGee Shatley, age 87, of North Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 3, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Gabriel Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in the Windy Gap Community. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Mae was born June 20, 1937, in Guilford County to Waldo Emerson and Mary Noland McGee. Mae retired as secretary from North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church in 2012 after 42 years of service. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Bobby O. Shatley. 

She is survived by her daughter; Ronda Holland (Ricky) of Cleveland NC, one grandson; Lewis Williams (Susan) of Albany NY, Mae also had one sister and four brothers.
