Mr. Mackie Gene Lambert, Jr., age 66 of North Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Royal and Mr. Jackie Caudill officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 12:00 until 12:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Lambert was born March 13, 1954 in Ashe County to Mackie Gene Lambert, Sr. and Cornella Combs Lambert. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church. Mackie loved preaching, had a passion for mowing and loved to tinker, he was a Handyman.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister; Melba Severt.
He is survived by his wife; Carolyn Sidden Lambert of the home, two sons; Mackie Andrew Lambert and wife Cegey and Wesley Chad Lambert all of Hays, three grandchildren; Mary BreAnna Austin Lambert, Mason Lee Harley Lambert, Sydney Kadence Lambert, a sister; Brenda Combs of Hays, a brother; Harold Combs of Alabama and a brother-in-law; Wayne Severt of Millers Creek and Fur-Babies; Markie-Pooh and Brownie and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 North Bridge Street, Elkin, NC 28621.
