Mabel Teague Johnson

Mrs. Mabel Teague Johnson, age 91 of Wilkesboro passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at her home. 

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 12, 2021 at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Duncan officiating.  

Mrs. Johnson was born December 19, 1929 in Darlington, MD to Cager Richard and Dorothy Olivia Brown Teague.  Mabel was a life long active member of Oakwoods Baptist Church, she loved singing in the church choir, cooking for her family and enjoyed working in her flower beds.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother.   

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Fred Thomas Johnson, a daughter; Shirley Johnson Pilkenton, a sister; Elenor Seig and a brother; Donald Teague. 

She is survived by two daughters; Judy Johnson Hunt and husband Charlie Ray of Darlington, MD, Cindy Lynn Snotherly and husband Jeff of Wilkesboro, three sons; Thomas Fred Johnson and wife Patsy of Wilkesboro, Danny Lee Johnson and wife Deana of Wilkesboro, Lewis Ray Johnson and wife Margaret of North Wilkesboro, eleven grandchildren; Diana Lynn Kolego, Douglas Ray Hunt, Jason Thomas Johnson, Bryan Russell Johnson, Courtney Johnson, Kelly Johnson, Natalie Johnson, Melanie Thomas, James Johnson, Madison Snotherly and Tyler Snotherly, four great grandchildren; Cameron Kolego, Sebastian Thomas, Valek Thomas, Arianna Johnson, three sisters; Esther Duffer of North Wilkesboro, Dora Isom of Abingdon, MD, Inez Borgman of Baltimore, MD and a brother; Cager Richard Teague, Jr. of Montclair, CA. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wake Forest Care At-Home Hospice, 126 Executive Drive, Suite 110, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
