Mrs. Lucille Royal Call, age 90 of North Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, at her residence.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in North Wilkesboro and Sunday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM February 4, 2024 at Ashe County Worship Center, 863 Ray Taylor Road, West Jefferson NC 28694. A private family entombment will be held.
Lucille was born September 18,1933 in Wilkes County to Odell and Leora McCarter Royal. She was a member of Ashe County Worship Center in West Jefferson, NC.She retired from Holly Farms/Tyson after many years of service.
Lucille was a very loving Christian lady. She faithfully attended Cricket Baptist Church for many years and later attended Ashe County Worship Center where her son is the Pastor. She loved the Lord, her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking, shopping at Belk, and going to church. She was a mother to her younger siblings after their mother passed away.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Robert Royal and Charles Royal.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years; Carl Henry Call, son: Pastor Chuck Call and wife Susan of Deep Gap, two grandchildren; William Call and wife Angel of Jefferson, Hope Call of Deep Gap, one great-grandchild; Willow Call, three sisters; Mary Owensby of North Wilkesboro, Betty Johnson of Wilkesboro, Kathy Call of Wilkesboro, 2 brothers; Jim Royal of North Wilkesboro, Tim Royal of Wilkesboro and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to her caregivers and others for the last two years who took excellent care of her, Juanita, Pam, Lienze, Stephanie, Cheryl and Shelley..
