Lowell Thomas, Jr.

Mr. Lowell Thomas, Jr. age 88, of North Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center.

Private services will be held. 

Lowell was born May 13, 1937, in Appomattox County, VA to Lowell Edward Thomas, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Scruggs Thomas.  He was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper and was a Sgt. in the Army Reserves.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife; Geanne Wilkinson Thomas and second wife; Faye Miller Thomas.

He is survived by a daughter; Cathy Williams and husband Derwin of Wilkesboro, a son; Lowell E. Thomas III and wife Carla of Richmond, VA, a granddaughter; Holly Greene and husband Randy, Jr., two great grandchildren; Brennan and Alexia and two sisters; Betty Carson of Idaho and Judy Baker and husband William of Virginia.
