Mrs. Louise Yates Poole, age 94 of Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wilkes Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 17, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Keith Lyon officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.   Burial will be at Mountlawn Memorial Park

She was born on September 9, 1930, in Wilkes County to Spencer Otto and Faye Nannie Lou Campbell Yates.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Call and Betty Sebastian; and three brothers, Cecil Yates, Billy Yates and Bobby Yates.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Arnold Poole; two sons, Robert Lee Church Jr. and wife Vickie of Wilkesboro, and Steven Grant Triplett and wife Gerri of Wilkesboro; half-sister, Joyce McGuire (Bart) of North Wilkesboro; and sister-in-law, Ollie Yates of North Wilkesboro; two grandchildren Kris Triplett and Ashley Church; three great grandchildren, Kutter Triplett, Madison Grayum and River Church; step daughter, Cindee Lea Long (Martin) of Portsmouth, VA; step son, Chuck Poole (Holli) of Chesapeake, VA; six step grandchildren, Jay Skinner, Kevin Skinner, Timmy Long, Jake Poole, Madelyn Poole, Brooklyn Poole; several step great grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
