Mrs. Loretta Mae Austin Jennings, age 84 of Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Reach Center with Pastor Dale Jennings officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 PM prior to the service at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial to follow in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.  

Loretta was born on February 17, 1941, in Mercer County and lovingly adopted by Raymond and Pauline Austin at age 9. Loretta was a loving mother that taught her children to always do your best. She was affectionately known as Mom, Mommy, Grandma and MeMe! She loved traveling and especially loved times spent at the beach. More importantly she loved the Lord Jesus in whose presence she is in today.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Austin.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Lott (Phil) of Virginia Beach, VA; sons, Todd Jennings (Lisa) of Blountsville, AL, Dale Jennings (Lori) of Purlear, NC, Kerry Jennings of Fullerton, CA; grandchildren, Kristy Livsey (Brian), Eric Roberts, Jessica Lynn (Alex), Somer Layne, Kimberli Sparwasser (Jared), Candice Harless (Michael), Michael Jennings (Ryan), Loren Jennings (Rielly), Chloe Jennings; great-grandchildren, Kyle Livsey, Emma Roberts, Ava Roberts, Brianna Denny, Dylin Barlow, Joseph Barlow, Eva Sparwasser, Sylar Harless, Saren Evans, River Jennings, August Jennings, Honey Jennings, Aleister Jennings; brothers, Bob Richards of Florida, Joe Clements of Goldsboro, NC. The family wants to make mention of their mother’s Special Friend Terry Smith of Wilkesboro who was a big part of her life.
