Mr. Lonnie Blaine McCann, age 97 of Roaring River passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkin.
Private graveside services with Military Honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard will be held at White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. William Souther officiating.
Lonnie was born April 15, 1925 in Wilkes County to Dave and Maude Hinson. McCann. He was a member of White Plains Baptist Church where he was currently a Deacon and had served as Church Treasurer for 30+ years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Lois Alexander McCann and eleven sisters and brothers.
Lonnie is survived by two daughters; Brenda Jolly and husband Keith of Wilkesboro and Doris Parker and husband Mark of Jonesville, three grandchildren; Chad Jolly and wife Jessica, Kayla Rose, Isaac Rose and wife Kayla, four great grandchildren; Anna Jolly, Grant Jolly, London Rose and Nora Rose.
