Lola Loyola Obituary

Mrs Lola Caroline Stalker Loyola, age 96 of Wilkesboro, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Wilkes Regional Medical Center.

She was born on September 24, 1923 to the late George C. and Caroline Joop Stalker. She was a missionary, a homemaker and a good helpmate for her husband as they served the Lord. She was an avid reader, pianist, loved to sing, and a diehard Atlanta Braves fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Regino “Ray” E. Loyola, and a sister Dolores West.

She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Vance and husband Craig of Wilkesboro; three sons, Jonathan Loyola and wife Nancy of North Wilkesboro, Timothy Loyola and wife Deb of Bedford, TX, and Thomas Loyola and wife, Sue Ann of Clinton, IA; a sister Ruth Steere of Pontiac, IL, and a brother, George Stalker and wife Laverne of CA.; also thirteen grandchildren, and twenty one great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date.
