Lola Shew Anderson

Mrs. Lola Shew Anderson, age 89 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.  

Private graveside services were held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jason Whitley officiating, and hymns by southern gospel group, Deliverance.  

Mrs. Anderson was born December 21, 1930 in Wilkes County to James Calvin and Annie Burchette Shew.  She was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Millard “Dwight” Delidle Anderson; three sisters, Evelyn Wagoner, Mabel Roberts, and Ruby Roberts; four brothers, Claude Shew, Willard Shew, James Shew, and Clarence Shew. 

Mrs. Anderson is survived by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Anderson Queen and husband Dolan of North Wilkesboro; a son Kenny Lee Anderson and wife Joan of North Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, Greg Anderson and wife Vicky, Kenneth Anderson and wife Nicole, Shauna Harrison and husband Rob, Chad Queen and wife Tara; ten great grandchildren, Quinton Anderson, Lane Anderson, Graham Harrison, Carter Harrison, Bennet Harrison, Miles Queen, Marshall Queen, Kayla Wike and husband Aaron, Hannah Parks and Lee Parks; two great-great grandchildren, Zander Wike and Levi Wike; two sisters Patricia Jones of Elkin, Nellie Sturgill and husband Larry of Statesville,  and a special friend, George Felts of Elkin, and her “baby”, Koby.
