Mrs. Linda Elmore McNeil, 86 of Winston-Salem, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday, April 5th, 2026, after a courageous journey with dementia.

Linda was born March 18th, 1940, in North Wilkesboro, NC to Jason (Jack) Staley Elmore and Minnie Wiles Elmore.
Linda is survived by her daughters Angela B. Parker (Thomas), Toni B. Linker (Dodd), and a loving son Ronald K. Bauguss. Grandchildren Jade Parker, John Parker (Kasie), Christie Woodie, Mikenzie Monaco (Cody), Madison Bauguss (Michael) and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by husbands Gary Bauguss (1970) and Wade McNeil (1989), sisters; Mary Hayes, Gerri Whittington, and Savannah Williams, brother; Bobby Elmore, grandchildren; Christopher Miller and Jason Miller.
Linda was a truly remarkable woman whose strength, grace, and love for the Lord showed in everything she did. As a student at North Wilkes High School, she played basketball with determination and pride, even earning recognition for her poise with a “Best Posture” award, something that reflected not just how she carried herself physically, but the quiet confidence she held throughout her life. She was a hard, loyal worker who dedicated 39 years to Lowe’s Home Improvement, showing up day after day with commitment and integrity. Above all, she loved her family deeply, and that love was the center of her world steady, strong, and unwavering, just like her.
Special thanks to her granddaughter Mikenzie for her loyalty to caring for her Mamaw.
