Leonard Vashawn Parsons, Jr.

Mr.  Leonard Vashawn Parsons, Jr.  of Boomer passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Scenic Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ronald Howell officiating.

He was born on August 24, 1973, in Wilkes County, to Leonard and Billie Lorraine Ferguson Parsons.  His best friends were his father, Leonard Parsons and Dwayne Carlton.  He enjoyed going to the drag strip to watch racing and watching wrestling and football with his father.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two daughters, Talia Michaux of Morganton and Deshawna Stepps of Lenoir; one son, Lyric Parsons of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Amiria Parsons, Davina Stepps and Daytona Stepps; and three sisters, Amie Parsons of Wilkesboro, Margaret Parsons of Boomer and Brandy Parsons Harper (Patrick) of Lenoir.
