Leonard “Len” G. Hooks, Jr., 77, of Chesnee, SC passed away peacefully on November 7th, 2022, in the company of friends and family.  Born in Pineville, NC, he was the son of late Leonard G. Hooks, Sr. and Cloya Vick Hooks.  Len was a graduate of South Mecklenburg High School and proudly served in the United States Army.  He retired from a career in banking with Palmetto Bank and was a member of Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Hooks; one son; Tripp Hooks (Amy); two grandsons; Hayden and Austin Hooks all of Inman, SC and one brother; Doug (Cindy) Hooks of Stanley, NC.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by two sisters Faye Langley and Colleen Munsey both of Fort Mill, SC.  

Funeral services will be held on November 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. David Wellborn officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard and The North Carolina National Guard. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service at the church.

Serving as pallbearers: Nelson Call, Ricky Smith, Terry Wright, Mark Call, John Call, and David Call.  

Honorary pallbearers: Ransom Call, Bryce Johnson, and Steve Walter.
