Mr. Larry Dale Gambill, age 78, of Traphill passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Traphill with Pastor Tracy Nichols officiating. Masonic Rites will be given by Traphill Masonic Lodge # 483 in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Larry was born on July 16, 1947, in Wilkes County to Ruffin Dale and Margie Lea Bowers Gambill. He was a member at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Traphill. Larry graduated from North Wilkes High School Class of 1965. He was a member of the Traphill Masonic Lodge # 483.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sisters, Sylvia Gambill Holbrook and husband Steve of Traphill, Debra Gambill and husband Bob Linville of Hays, Glenda Gambill Royall and husband Johnny of Thurmond; brothers, Robert “Bob” Gambill of Hays, Alvin Gambill of Traphill; several nieces, nephews and cousins; Gray Fulp like a brother and Avis Miller his gardening buddy both of Traphill.

Pallbearers are Gray Fulp, Michael Johnson, Olin Nester, Ryan Holbrook, Danny Royall. Noah Royall, Barry Triplett and Steve Gambill. Honorary pallbearers are Rylan Holbrook, Robert Prevette, Ronald Jenkins, David Ayers, Riley Billings, Donny Gambill and Carson Gambill.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family requests no food at this time.
