Kenneth McKee Sturgill

Mr. Kenneth McKee Sturgill, age 73 of North Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Wilkes Medical Center. 

 Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 13, 2020 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Brother Randall Millsaps officiating.  The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home prior to the service.  Burial with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1142 will follow at Mountlawn Memorial Park. 

Mr. Sturgill was born September 22, 1946 in Coalwood, WV to Lillard Jackson and Edna Gravely Sturgill. He was a retired truck driver for Holly Farms/Tyson.   He served in the United States Army. He was a member of Cricket Baptist Church.

 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; J.C. Sturgill, Roger Sturgill, Ray Sturgill, Buford Sturgill; four sisters, Mary Lou Adams, Louella Woodle, Vickie Sturgill, and an infant sister, Elsie Louise Sturgill.

 He is survived by his wife, Vivian Sherrill Johnson Sturgill; four daughters, Karen and Kelly Nichols of Wilkesboro, Beverly Sturgill of Wilkesboro, Deborah Combs and Greg Beshears of Millers Creek, Stephanie Cannon and Kalup of North Wilkesboro; two sons, Christopher Sturgill and Laura Sturgill of North Wilkesboro and Matthew Sturgill and Jade Sturgill of North Wilkesboro; a sister Donna Michael of Rural Hall; eight grandchildren, Justin Nichols, Kasay Nichols Millner, Sophie Nichols, Olivia Everhardt, Isabel Everhardt, Ben Everhardt, Taylor Combs, and Clint Beshears; three great grandchildren, Brayden Nichols, Adelyn Nichols, and Luka Millner.

 Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Cricket Baptist Church 125 Cricket Baptist Church Rd. North Wilkesboro, NC  28659.
