Mr. James “Ken” Price, age 90 of Moravian Falls passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 at his home. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Walnut Grove Baptist Church (Moravian Falls) with Rev. Sherrill Welborn officiating.  Burial will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. 

Ken was born, December 29, 1934, in Wilkes County to Logan Sherman and Mary Blanche Lenderman Price.  Ken was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church where he enjoyed attending.  He was a machinist for Norfolk Navy Shipyard in his younger years, and a retired long-distance truck driver.  Ken played the trombone and tuba in the high school band and was a member of the Old Farts Hiking Club.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Marie “Liz Eller Price, a son; Michael Elledge.   

He is survived by four daughters; Connie Wiliams and husband Steve of McGregor, TX, Dianne Price of Moravian Falls, Sheila Broyhill and husband Tim of North Wilkesboro, Melinda Disharoon and husband Donnie of Costa Rica, three sons; James L. Price of Moravian Falls, Kenneth C. Price of Greensboro, Terry Elledge and wife Angie of Wilkesboro, Michael Elledge and wife Lisa of Wilkesboro, twelve grandchildren; Sherman Price, Christopher Miller, Thomas Miller, Jessica Miller, Chase Williams, Amanda Summerlin, Jamie Triplett, Kayla Disharoon, Timothy Elledge, Brittany Hawkins, Kirsten Elledge, Harper Teague, six great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law; Lisa Elledge and very special friend; Lynette Call.
