Kay Rist Anderson

Mrs. Kay Rist Anderson, age 71 of Roaring River passed away Saturday July 2, 2022 at her home. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 1:00 until 4:00 PM Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Brier Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. 

Kay was born on January 2, 1951 in Allegheny, PA to Charles William and Doris Sippel Rist.  

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Richard “Larry” Anderson. 

She is survived by; three sons; Paul Layne of Raleigh, Aaron Layne of Wake Forest, Richie Anderson and wife Alisha of Roaring River, two daughters; Kimberly A. Weatherman and husband Bryan of Jonesville, Lisa Douglas of Concord, twelve grandchildren; Cassidy Layne, Alex Layne, Olivia Layne, Parker Layne, Tia Anderson, Megan (Matt) Crosswhite, Lakyn Stewart, Halle Day, Bailey (Eddie) Martin, Anna Anderson, Carson Poplin, Caybree Poplin, seven great grandchildren; Trenton Sparks, Ansley Crosswhite, Grayson Crosswhite, Ellison Crosswhite, Anniston Crosswhite, Waylon Martin, James Martin, four sisters; Christy Baumgartner of Pittsburgh, PA, Sue Vaillancourt, Beth Ann Marciano, Gretchen Alves all of Rochester, NY, two brothers, Chuck Rist of Hilton, NY and David Rist of Charlotte. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
