Katherine "Kaye" Hall Obituary

Mrs. Katherine “Kaye” Beamon Hall, age 84, of North Wilkesboro passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at Atrium Health-Wilkes Medical Center surrounded by family. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 2, 2026, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Stephanie Parker officiating. Burial will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Kaye was born March 30, 1942, in Wilkes County to James Richard Beamon, Sr. and Ruth Etta Anthony Beamon. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, where she served on the alter guild and was a member of the Episcopal Church Women. She loved her family, grandchildren, and was a beloved Godmother to several. She was a wonderful hostess, and loved entertaining guests, family, and friends. Kaye had a love of fashion and the color pink, so in 1977, she and her sister-in-law, Caroline, opened a lady’s boutique, “Carol Kaye,” where she worked until it’s closing in 1992. Kaye loved her community of North Wilkesboro, where she was very engaged. She was a member of the North Wilkesboro downtown association, volunteered at North Wilkesboro Elementary School, where her grandchildren attended, was a member of the Wilkes Regional Hospital lady’s auxiliary guild and was involved with Wilkes Relay for Life. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; John Elbert Hall, Sr. 

She is survived by a son; Bert Hall (Sandra) of North Wilkesboro, grandchildren; Ashley Hall (Logan), Brookelynn Barringer (Joe) both of North Wilkesboro, great grandchildren; Stella Rose Cooke, Dawson Cooke, Finley Cooke, a sister; Dorothy Ruth Beamon of North Wilkesboro a brother; James Richard Beamon, Jr. (Caroline) of Creston, nieces; Marianne Beamon of North Wilkesboro, Christina Freeman(Austin) of Creston, great-nephews; Burlie Freeman and Worth Freeman; great-niece Florence Freeman, as well as many beloved cousins.
