Karen Mae (Mott) Griggs

Mrs. Karen Mott Griggs, age 85 of North Wilkesboro passed away May 17, 2023 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Karen was born June 6, 1937, in Rockland County, New York to Clement and Margaret Squibb Mott. Karen worked as the Director of Gardens at Wilkes Community College until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Kenneth Griggs.

Karen is survived by her three children; Eve Griggs of Wilkesboro, Pamala Key and husband Danny of North Wilkesboro; one son; Patrick Griggs and wife Anna of North Wilkesboro; brother; Richard Mott of Moravian Falls; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
