Mrs. June "Junie" Edmiston Eller, age 79 of North Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. James Hall, Rev. Ronnie McMillan and Deacon Ricky Eller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM prior to the service at the church.
June was born June 22, 1946, in Wilkes County to Frank Harley and Pauline “Mom Petie” Walsh Edmiston. She was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Phyllis Ann “Shen” Edmiston Swartz and Sarah “Kim” Edmiston.
She is survived by her husband; Arthur “Steve” Eller of the home, two daughters; Sherri Cothren and husband Lane of North Wilkesboro, Shana Johnson of Moravian Falls, a son; Clayton Mathis and wife Leigh Ann of Statesville, a grandson; Nevin Johnson, whom she and Steve raised as their son and his wife Hanna, six grandchildren; Jacey Cothren, Erin Cothren, Adam Mathis, Paulina Johnson, Michael Johnson, Ansleigh Mathis, four great grandchildren; Braylen Bell, Callum Johnson, Asher Johnson, Conor Johnson and a brother Neal Edmiston and wife Kim of Boomer.
