Julene McGlamery Rash

Mrs. Julene McGlamery Rash, age 80, of Millers Creek passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Wilkes Assisted Living. 

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. 

Julene was born March 6, 1946, in Wilkes County to Allie Clayton and Ruth Whittington McGlamery.  She was a devoted member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church, where she faithfully served for many years.  Julene was known for her warm hospitality and cooking, often bringing family and friends together around her table. She was a meticulous housekeeper, always keeping things just so.  A beautiful lady with a youthful glow, she carried herself with grace and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.  She loved her family and friends and will be remembered for her kindness and care.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Wayne Rash, a sister; Virginia Marsh and two brothers; Lane McGlamery and Norris McGlamery. 

She is survived by a son; Andy Rash and wife Lisa of Wake Forest, a grandson; Carter Rash, several nieces and nephews; Marissa Ricketts, Mason McGlamery, Mahlon Marsh, Leta Wagoner, Hayden McGlamery, Brian Rash, Graylon Rash, Ricky Francis, Morgan Francis. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Home Baptist Church, 735 Pleasant Home Church Road, Millers Creek, NC 28651 or Mtn. Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017.
