Rev. Juanita Lipford Melton, age 80, of Ferguson passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center-Winston Salem. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Fred Howell, Rev. Roger Horton, and Rev. Terry Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the Harley Lipford Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.    

Juanita was born August 28, 1944, in Wilkes County to Harley Mansfield Lipford and Annie Horton Lipford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

She is survived by her husband; Charlie Ray Melton of the home, one son; Jason Ray Melton (Jessica) of Gastonia, two daughters; Sonya Melton-Mason (Robert) of Conover, Bridgette Black (Shawn) of Lenoir, two grandchildren; Jason Melton, II, Kaleb Melton, six sisters and two brothers.
