Joyce Ann (McGee) Johnson

Mrs. Joyce Ann McGee Johnson, age 72, widow of Rev. Jay Johnson of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Wilkes Medical Center in North Wilkesboro.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Millers Creek with Rev. Keith Lyon and Rev. Lawson Horton officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson was born September 28, 1948 in Iredell County to Darice and Annie Ruth Faw McGee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jay Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by one daughter, Lisa Johnson Wagoner and husband, Stacey of Purlear; one grandson, Travis Dale; one sister, Loucella Killen of North Wilkesboro; and one brother, George McGee of Wilkesboro.
