Joseph Spears Obituary
Mr. Joseph Thomas Spears, age 74 of North Wilkesboro, died Friday, April 30, 2021 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 3, 2021 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Kevin Souther officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Spears may be viewed on Monday from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mr. Spears was born in Wilkes County on August 11, 1946 to Clifford Ravaughn Spears and Josephine Estelle Bare Spears. He had been a teacher for the Wayne County NC School System and had a principal certificate.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Darrell Clifford Spears.
He is survived by four brothers, James Richard Spears of Salisbury, Gary Ravaugh Spears of North Wilkesboro, Roger Alvin Spears of Laurel Springs, and Donald Kirk Spears of North Wilkesboro; and his caregiver and special friend, Leann Bell.
