Johnnie Wake Robinson, 93, of Millers Creek went to his heavenly home to join his wife and several children on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Stanley Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at Sturdivant Funeral Home.
John was born November 25, 1932, in Wilkes County to Rayvon and Mamie Adkins Robinson.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ettie Sue Watts Robinson, son Ronald Robinson (Virginia), daughter Sandra Wyatt (Stanley), son John Paul Robinson, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters.
He is survived by 3 brothers, Gerald Robinson, Roger Robinson, and Max “Tommy” Robinson. He is also survived by son Fred Allen Robinson (Valerie), daughter Linda Kirby, daughter Crystal Robinson (Susan), and son Jessie Robinson (Haleigh). Grandchildren include Kimberly Jimenez Garcia, Melissa Gomez Navarrete (Benjamin), Jonathan Kirby, Justin Kirby, Thomas Wyatt, Jeremiah Wyatt, Ethan Robinson, Holly Robinson, Catlyn Robinson, Reanna Robinson, Sarah Robinson, Nicholas Robinson, and Nova Robinson. Over 9 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
John dedicated over 30 years of his life working with Holly Farms and Tyson Foods. After he retired he decided to return to work at American Drew as a night watchman for several years into his late 70’s.
John loved his family dearly and was a spectacular son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed on this side of heaven’s gates.
