John Soots Obituary
Mr. John Samuel Soots, age 88 of North Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Wilkes Medical Center.
A private family burial was held at Mountlawn Memorial Park. A memorial service to be held at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Soots was born October 9, 1932 in Wilkes County to Sherman Soots and Laura Johnson Soots. He retired from Tyson Foods as a service manager after 39 years. He served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Hutchens Soots; two sisters, Anna Lou Combs and Belma Byrd; two brothers, A.C. Soots and William Soots.
He is survived by two daughters, Lynne Soots Cales and husband John of Indian Trail, and Anne Soots of Springfield, MO.
