Joe Donald Eller

Mr. Joe Donald Eller, age 91 of Wilkesboro passed away Monday, October 20, 2025 at his residence.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Union United Methodist Church with Pastor Randy Lankford and Pastor Allen Marsh officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was born on August 5, 1934 in Wilkes County to Emory Carson Eller and Golda Wiles Eller Key.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Ruth Wood, Evon Carver, Frances Laws and Wave Marsh; brothers Vance Eller, Jess (Greek) Eller and Emory (Buck) Eller.

He is survived by his wife Janet Crysel Eller; daughter Sarah Eller (Arturo Vasquez) of Wilkesboro; son David Eller of Hickory; brother Frank Eller (Nancy) of Moravian Falls and many nieces and nephews.

In the early years he worked for Bill Johnson’s Garage as a mechanic then self employed for several years before retiring from Lowe’s Companies after 17 years.
