JoAnn Curry

Ms. Jo Ann Curry, age 77 of Moravian Falls, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Robert Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Moravian Falls Cemetery.  

Jo Ann was born February 5, 1948, in Wilkes County to Mary V. Kerley. She was very passionate about family and taking care of family. Jo Ann was the rock and matriarch of the family. She enjoyed tax preparation, reading, listening to Elvis, puzzles, and card games. 

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son; Brian Curry, and her sister; Ethel Minton. 

She is survived by her son; Paul Curry (Shea) of Wilkesboro, Mark Curry (Tina) of Moravian Falls, Chad Curry (Kaycee) of Axton, VA, six grandchildren; Matthew Curry, Ashley Curry, Riley Curry, Grant Curry, Gavin Curry, Gates Curry, one great-grandchild; Lucas Curry, three sisters; Loretta Jarvis of Millers Creek, Peggy Curry of Millers Creek, Helen Kerley of Moravian Falls,  brother; Jack Curry of Moravian Falls, several nieces and nephews, and special niece and care taker; Jennifer Jarvis. 

Flowers will be accepted.
